"In 2006, I bought a few vacation condos on the island of Curaçao (next to Aruba) which were primarily rental properties. One of the properties was co-owned as an LLC with eight members of which I was the managing partner… Sound familiar?

In my 30s, I visited Spain and fell in love with the country. Ever since I bought the properties in Curaçao, I've dreamt of owning properties around the world and being able to visit them when I wanted, while renting them out the rest of the time. Mortgage interest rates have increased significantly from their low in 2021, causing many buyers to be priced out of the vacation home market. Home prices are expected to level off and likely drop in the next 12 to 18 months. The vacation properties we pursue will be purchased cash, giving us a significant negotiating advantage over the competition as market conditions tighten.
